Mac Allister completes ‘dream’ £35m move

Liverpool have completed the first part of their summer midfield rebuild by signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton. The Argentina World Cup winner has signed a five-year contract. Liverpool have not disclosed the fee but it is understood to be £35m. The price meets a release clause in Mac Allister’s contract with Brighton. “It’s a dream come true, it’s amazing to be here,” said Mac Allister, who will wear the No 10 shirt. “Since I won the World Cup I said that I want to win more trophies and this club will help me to do that.”
