Pick of the Day Gods of Tennis

BBC Two, 9pm

Tennis got sexy and powerful in the 1970s and 80s – and this three-part documentary tells the juicy story of its rise in popularity and the making of sport heroes during that time. It’s an impressive roster of interviewees, including past champions such as John McEnroe, Billie Jean King (below), Björn Borg, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. The opening episode focuses on Wimbledon and how King broke barriers for women and equality on the court.
