Dairy losing out as Brits pick plant milks
One in three Britons buy plantbased milk, according to a report that suggests it is now a mainstream choice. In 2020, shoppers spent £100m more on oat, almond or soya milks, making it a near £400m-ayear market. The research, from Mintel, said 32% of those polled used plant milk, up from 25% in 2020. The uptake is even higher among 25- to 44-year-olds, at 44%.
