Next deal fills Gap’s UK and Ireland gap
Next struck a deal with Gap to run its UK and Ireland business, months after the US chain confirmed it was shutting high street stores in those countries. Next will operate Gap’s online shopping, host branded Gap concessions and offer “extensive” click-and-collect services. Next will control a 51% stake in the venture, and shoppers will be able to buy Gap clothes via Next from early 2022.
