Derby will host Great British Railways HQ

Derby was named as the location of the new headquarters of Britain’s reformed railway. The government said the city had been chosen to host the head office for Great British Railways, after beating five other places in the Midlands. Plans for GBR were unveiled in 2021 after a review into how rail was run, amid concerns over work and schedules, and the collapse of franchising.
