Falling exports hit UK manufacturing

British factories reported a 16th consecutive month of falling exports, with manufacturers warning obstacles to trade since leaving the EU were undermining business relationships with the continent. The manufacturing sector contracted for a 10th consecutive month in May, dragged down by falls in exports in the past 16 months, the S&P Global/CIPS purchasing managers’ index shows.
