Windrush: A Family Divided Mon, 11am, Radio 4

A rich four-part series with firsthand testimonials from Caribbean elders who settled in Britain after the second world war. Academic Robert Beckford (pictured above) – who is of Jamaican heritage – and his wife Jennifer, who was born in Jamaica, have differing views about whether moving to Britain was a boon for the Windrush generation. Will speaking to the likes of Beckford’s uncle Ken – who forged a successful career in property – and retired nurse Brenda, who tells the Beckfords she was all but forced to stay in Britain despite wanting to leave, bring the couple’s views closer together? Riley & Coe

Mon, 10pm, 6 Music

In a change that’s made Britain’s middle-aged indie dads angrier than anything since Brexit, two of 6 Music’s keynote presenters have been allocated a new show – but cut-and-shut together and jostling for space in a slightly later slot. Marc Riley will be beginning the week solo – starting with live music from Miss Tiny. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Riley and Gideon Coe will join forces, then Coe will get his own slot on Thursdays. Times change: so let’s hope New Music

Fix Daily – which starts at 7pm and features Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft – will be given a chance by listeners, too.

In the Studio: Behind the Scenes with Ken Loach

Tue, 11.32am, BBC World Service Ken Loach’s upcoming film, The Old Oak, will be his last. Set in the north-east of England, it tells the story of Syrian refugees who are housed in a former mining village. Host Sharuna Sagar gets privileged access to the acclaimed director’s swansong, and is even allowed to watch the all-important dog audition. Hollie Richardson

Charles Paris: So Much Blood Fri, 11.30am, Radio 4

Delightfully louche actor and amateur detective Charles Paris (Bill Nighy) gets caught up in a mysterious tale. When a onewoman show drops out of the Edinburgh fringe, Paris finds himself treading the boards, directed by his long-suffering wife, Frances (Suzanne Burden). It’s a break from his “worse than useless” agent’s demands that he speaks on podcasts, so what could possibly go wrong? Hannah Verdier
