Making food-grade CO₂
Carbon dioxide is produced as a byproduct from a number of industrial processes, including the production of ammonia, which is used in fertilisers
Gases including carbon dioxide are produced as an industrial byproduct
Gas mixtures are passed through solutions or over solids that capture the CO2
Further processes, such as drying to remove water, raise the gas to a very high purity
The resulting food-grade CO2 is liquefied for transportation
