Former international trade secretary Truss now holds one the great offices of state. A dyedin-the wool Brexiter, and free marketeer, she is charged with shaping foreign policy post-Brexit, including managing strained relations with the EU, trying to defuse the row with France over nuclear submarines, and managing relations with an increasingly assertive China, which is challenging the west.
